Hello once again,

I'm in the final stages of selecting components for this new computer for my friend.

We are looking for a really good card in the ATI series. The motherboard we have supports PCI-E 2.0, the question is... If a card supports PCI-E 2.1, will it still be compatible with a 2.0 motherboard?

This is the motherboard we have:

and this is the card we are looking at:

I'm just curious and a quick response would be helpful, we will settle for a high end 4 series or middle level 5 series if 2.1 is not compatible.

On a side note, the PSU that comes with the chassis we are purchasing is 450w, will that be acceptable for a card of the likes above?

No problems with that setup should be fine with the power supply as well. as long as it has a dedicated cable for the graphics card.
